English Country Dancing is flourishing in Boise, Idaho, USA. Our group has been meeting every Thursday evening, during the past 7 years. We draw dancers from Boise, Boise State University, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and Parma. We are a relatively small but very enthusiastic and dedicated group that shares a passion for English Country Dance (ECD).

Our smaller size and weekly schedule allows us to spend more time on the development of our dance skills, working on important issues such as style, movement, and interaction with the others in the set. These are factors that make ECD such a magical dance experience. Some of our members participate in several of the excellent ECD workshops and balls in the western US.

Look at our dance list and you can see that among the more than 400 dances in our repertoire, we have devoted much attention to the creative, amazing, challenging, and gorgeous dances written by many modern English country dance choreographers, including: Brooke Friendly & Chris Sackett, Colin Hume, Fried de Metz Herman, Gary Roodman, Jenny Beer, Loretta Holz, Mary Devlin, Orly Krasner, Philippe Callens, Robert & Hazel Moir, Sharon Green, Tom Amessé, Tom Cook, Victor Skowronski, and many others.
